AdVent is an advanced kitchen ventilation demand control, designed for use in commercial kitchen applications, that reduces energy usage, energy costs, and unnecessary noise pollution.
Technology

AdVent utilizes VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) technology, allowing the control to vary output settings to the ventilation fan motor. When 100% fan speed is not required, power outputs are reduced based on real-time data inputs, resulting in reduced energy consumption.
This produces a significant reduction in energy consumption anytime fan speed can be reduced, translating directly into a decrease in spending for both electricity, and gas where applicable.
This approach also reduces the amount of stress placed on central operating components in the ventilation system; this is a reduction in compounded stress over time, ultimately aiding in a significant extension of equipment lifespan.
Demand Control Ventilation (DCV) autonomously adjusts the amount of air being exhausted based on its current needs, rather than at a fixed rate. This helps optimize energy usage, a lower energy costs significantly.

AdVent uses an array of sensors to monitor ventilation needs, and based on the readings of those sensors, the control can modulate ventilation in real time.
AdVent also greatly reduces noise in the kitchen. With ventilation needing 100% for a very small portion of the time, the system can run powered down and thus not as loudly. If 100% ventilation is needed, the control will ramp up to full power in a few seconds. A manual button can also be activated to instantly activate full power- this function gives kitchen staff the ability to evacuate smoke/steam quickly when needed.
